blood sweat and tears

  • 1 min read

bleed against me til your lungs give out

i will soak you up and mould you into shape

back together again and again

there’s no labour in my hands for you

my fingers will tire and my bones will creak

but it is comfort and it is fine

my second nature is that moment

there’s no labour in my hands for you

i will twist and turn and spin you around

put my blood my sweat my tears into your mouth

i fix and mend and prop you up by my side

there’s no labour in my hands for you

i will lay and lay until you are no longer tired

i have no other plans when you are considered

you are everything you are mine and i am yours

there’s no labour in my hands for you

Grapeshot acknowledges the traditional owners of the Wallumattagal land that we produce and distribute the magazine on, both past and present. It is through their traditional practices and ongoing support and nourishment of the land that we are able to operate.

Always Was, Always Will Be
