Loving not losing but choosing

Love, love, love,

What is love?

Would it sneak up on you

After months of radio silence?

Would it ever leave me alone,

The love for you?

What is love?

Is it pure as snow?

Or white as a dove?

Could it be deceitful?

Would I ever have met

the real you without it?

Love is the sun shining through the window

The plants growing green

The morning dew untouched

The rain falling

Making the sky clean

Love is everywhere all at once

It's nowhere to be found

Love is in the grey of your eyes

That reflect silver in the light

Love is bright and it's sullen

It's in high ground and a witch’s coven

It’s in the way you walk away

It’s in the way I stay

Love, your love

Let it hit me once again.

Take me to your forest,

I was afraid to put my foot in.

Oh my, sweet love

Do catch me when I fall again

For the little quip on the lips

The softness of those eyes

And the honey of that laughter

Do catch me once more

And I’ll choose your path forevermore.
