Ocean Ghoul

tossed watercress hair

eyes of aquamarine

salt-licked skin

bloodless lips

ocean ghoul,

what would you give to be human?

ree

you are everything

i should have imagined

you cannot have me so far from home

She pulses at your hips

rough and hateful, gentle when you deserve it.

will you ever deserve it?

ree

you try to be kind, but you never learnt the word

the salt stings like hell when you press your self against mine

the waves thrash and froth against your back

my hands pull away

perhaps the fault is mine

for who knew water could tear?

clutch my heart until

your skin is stained and raw

so sweet beneath your quivering lips

i am flesh to you

crisp and clean

clean my wounds tenderly

careful Nacre, your claws show

ree

but never graze me
